"We love unique pieces with a history"

In 2013, Sven founded MCF – back then still a small company that operated in a
Garage starts. Only one employee is involved, who will take care of the refurbishment.
who takes care of the furniture. Sven himself works around the clock: He drives all over
Germany, collects used furniture, plans the restorations, takes photos, runs the online shop, sells and delivers everything personally.

A large portion of the restored pieces also end up in his apartment – later they pile up in front of the basement and in the hallway. When this becomes too much for the neighbors, Sven rents his first warehouse in 2014. From then on, not only the furniture stock grows, but also the team. In 2021, Johanna finally joins the company and MCF becomes a family business with now 18 employees.

Today, Sven mainly focuses on purchasing and designing his own, high-quality upcycling designs . Together with the refurbished design classics, these pieces find their way to people in Germany, Europe and all over the world. Johanna is making the company more sustainable from the ground up. In close collaboration with science and politics, she is trying to develop cycles for the furniture market. She writes and tells all the stories that make up the company and tries to make the topic of sustainability as tangible as possible.

What unites us all at MCF: We love old furniture. Even for us, it's a special feeling to wander through the aisles of our warehouse. The journey of a piece of furniture with us is elaborate - from procurement to restoration,
From photography and historical classification to storage and secure packaging for shipping. But that's precisely why our team knows every single one of the approximately 1,500 pieces of furniture. Everyone has held everything in their own hands before. And that's something our customers really appreciate.
